Congratulations on beginning a new journey toward a healthier, happier life. Exploring therapy as an option to address short term or long standing concerns is a first step toward positive change! I look forward to getting to know you and working with you using a number of approaches to help you reach your personal goals. I especially like to recognize and honor each client's strengths and work from a strength-based perspective.
Using a humanistic, holistic approach, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, my goal is to teach skills, help with problem solving, help you to gain insights, and create a safe environment to explore feelings and thoughts. By providing support and psychoeducation, together, we will be able to work through challenging circumstances.
The office setting is comfortable and welcoming. Come sit by the wood burning (electric) stove, pour yourself some tea, and settle into the therapeutic experience. Life is a journey, and most of us could use help along the way, especially if facing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance abuse. I look forward to getting to know you!
